To back up your movies using Xilisoft DVD Copy Express (also known as Xilisoft DVD Copy 2), you can copy your DVD content in a perfect 1:1 ratio directly to a blank disc, an ISO image file, or a standard DVD folder on your computer.

Below is a step-by-step guide to executing these backups, along with the core customization options available in the software. Preparation

Download and install the software from the official Xilisoft website.

Insert your original movie DVD into your computer’s optical disc drive.

Launch the application. The program will automatically retrieve the disc details and display the movie cover artwork. Step-by-Step Backup Instructions

[Load Source] ➔ [Choose Copy Mode] ➔ [Set Destination] ➔ [Click Copy Button] Step 1: Select the Source File

The software usually detects your inserted disc automatically. If it does not, click the drop-down menu next to Source.

You can also use this menu to select Open DVD Folder… or Open Image File… if your source movie is already saved on your hard drive. Step 2: Choose Your Copy Mode

Select one of the three dedicated backup modes depending on how much content you want to save:

Full Disc: Clones the entire DVD structure, including all original menus, intros, previews, multi-language audio tracks, and subtitles.

Main Movie: Automatically strips away the menus, ads, trailers, and extra features, extracting only the primary feature-length film to save space.

Customized: Allows you to manually check or uncheck specific titles, chapters, audio languages, and subtitle tracks to create a tailored copy. Step 3: Select the Target Destination

Click the drop-down menu next to Target to choose how you want to store your backup:

To another disc: Select your DVD burner drive if you want to duplicate the film onto a physical blank DVD-R/RW.

To an ISO Image: Saves a single .iso file clone to your computer, which operates exactly like a virtual disc when clicked.

To a DVD Folder: Saves a standard VIDEO_TS folder structure on your hard drive for local playback. Step 4: Configure the Output Settings

Volume Label: Type a custom name for your movie backup in the text box.

Target Size: Choose DVD-5 (4.7 GB standard single-layer) or DVD-9 (8.5 GB dual-layer).

Note: If you are backing up a massive DVD-9 disc to a cheaper DVD-5 blank disc, the software will automatically compress the video data to fit the smaller size perfectly. Step 5: Execute the Backup Process

Click the large, circular Copy icon at the bottom of the interface to initiate the process.

A status progress bar will appear. If you chose to back up to a blank disc using a computer with only one optical drive, the program will copy the data to a temporary cache, open your tray, and prompt you to insert a blank disc to complete the burn. Key Technical Features
